WALK INTO ERYRI

Proud to Sponsor the Eryri Walking Festival 2026

“Mae iechyd yn dechrau gydag un cam.”
Wellbeing begins with a single step.

Here in Eryri, we’re incredibly fortunate to live and work in one of the most beautiful landscapes in the world. From the rugged peaks of Yr Wyddfa to peaceful woodland paths, hidden lakes (llynnoedd) and breathtaking coastlines, every trail invites us to slow down, breathe deeply and reconnect with what really matters.

That’s why we’re honoured to sponsor the Eryri Walking Festival—a celebration of walking, culture and wellbeing that truly captures the spirit of Eryri. Bought to you by a team of Outdoor professionals who live and work in the Eryri National Park.

Croeso i Eryri – Welcome to the Mountains

Much more than a collection of guided walks. It’s an invitation to experience the rich heritage, language, wildlife and landscapes that make this corner of Wales so special.

Whether you’re an experienced hiker, a family seeking a gentle afternoon adventure, or someone taking their first steps towards a healthier lifestyle, the festival offers something for everyone.

Every walk tells a story.

You’ll discover ancient pathways, fascinating local history, hidden gems and spectacular scenery while sharing the experience with knowledgeable local guides and fellow walkers who all share a love for Eryri – Snowdonia

“Mae’r daith yr un mor bwysig â’r cyrchfan.”
The journey is just as important as the destination.

Cerdded Trwy Hanes – Walking Through Our Heritage

One of the many highlights of walking in Eryri is the opportunity to experience our remarkable heritage beneath your feet. The Snowdonia Slate Trail weaves its way through the heart of the UNESCO World Heritage Slate Landscape of Northwest Wales, following ancient paths that once connected quarries, villages and communities.

Every step tells the story of the generations of quarrymen and families whose hard work helped shape not only the landscape but also the identity of this region. Walking these historic routes offers far more than spectacular scenery—it provides a deeper connection to our treftadaeth (heritage), our culture and the resilience of the people who called these mountains home.

It’s a reminder that walking isn’t simply about reaching a destination; it’s about understanding the stories etched into the landscape around us. In Eryri, every trail has a tale to tell, and the Snowdonia Slate Trail is one of the finest ways to experience the history, beauty and spirit of our remarkable corner of Wales.
